Jennie Knoop’s Music
Those of us who loved Jennie, loved her music, and sang with her, these recordings are for you. They are captured from the many-times-played tapes she made, from recordings of live events, from informal recordings Jennie made, and from recordings I made. Too many songs weren’t recorded, but are learned by heart, and live in our memories and hearts and our singing together. Some of these songs are informally recorded practice sessions, anticipating Jennie’s memorial service. Now she has passed on, on March 27, 2020, and we aren’t able to gather to celebrate her properly. Until that time comes, here is our tribute to Jennie.

Jennie’s Homemade Tape to Laurie
Jennie made this homemade tape for fellow Venus Rising band member Laurie Lindgren, in the early 80’s. Laurie gave a (now precious) copy to Cynthia many years ago. In the choir are Lynne, Carol Verner, Laurie Lindgren, Lil Royal, Emy Reeves, Lori Fendell, Libby Outlaw, Cynthia Crossen. Cynthia made this informal recording of our choir practice August 29, 2019.
